Registered General Nurse (RN 1)

The Registered General Nurse is responsible for direct and indirect nursing care and treatment of patients/clients within the facility.

Position: Registered General Nurse (HPC / RN 1)

Qualifications

• Certificate/Diploma/Degree in General Nursing from an accredited institution;
• Registration with the Nursing Council of Jamaica in General Nursing;
• Valid Nursing Licence;
• New graduate with beginning professional skills to a maximum of five (5) years.

Requirements

• Clinical, interpersonal, leadership, diagnostic. problem-solving skills;
• Fundamentals of nursing, decision-making and determining courses of action on patient/client problems;
• Ability to differentiate and discriminate/determine the patients need for medical intervention;
• Fundamental of analysis and interpretation of diagnostic reports and data;
• Positive work attitude, ethical conduct, human relations, basic nursing philosophy, calm controlled and purposeful manner, positive work ethic, punctuality and reliability.
